Class Picture Day

I just realized that I never actually posted the final piece. So, here it is... I'm pretty happy with it. In fact, I used it for my last postcard mailing. (I also included the spot I used on the back).

So, thanks for the great idea Lyon!

Final Color- Fireplace and Cocoa

Well, I finally was able to finish up the piece I posted here. Here are a couple of mice enjoying their cups of hot cocoa in front of a crackling fire. I'm pretty happy with it for the most part. There is maybe one or two things I'd change, but for now I'm done.

Cocoa & Fireplace!

I kept working on this & now it's overdone, so I'll probably redo it completely. But, for now, I want to work on the classroom setting.

Cocoa Beach

Here's my sketch for "Hot Chocolate". I'd already drawn this out before I saw Kristin's mouse/cocoa piece. Great minds think alike, right pal? I'm really going to try to put color to this, but I had another grandbaby tonight and I'm also trying to keep up in 2 classes and work. I really enjoyed doing the drawing on this one though and wanted to share.

Snowball (in color)

I'm playing with using pencil value with watercolor washes over the value. This is because pencil & line are my first loves. Need some feedback: is it too muddy?--I think the color needs to be enhanced or needs to be stronger because it seems muted.

Hot Chocolate

Hot Chocolate

I just purchased some Hot Cocoa mix that was imported from France.
I love all things Parisian and so here is my illustration for Hot Chocolate.
Is anyone else hungry?

"Hot Cocoa"

Hmmm, I think I'll have one for breakfast. ;)

Hot Cocoa

Miss Cocoa was the type of dog that ran in all the right circles, and those circles provided her with her very favorite drink whenever she and her owner were out and about ... Hot Cocoa.

New Kid on the Block

Hello everyone! I'm so glad to be part of your group. I've begun experimenting with watercolors recently, and am really pushing myself to grow with this new medium. I look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with every week. Here's my sketch for this week. An old married couple enjoying hot cocoa and a book by a fire. Nice and cozy!

Snowballs in color | Catching up

A little late, but here's the final color illo from this sketch for prompt "Snowballs." I wanted to make her outwear outfit really colorful, but I'm not too pleased with it. Next time I'll do some fashion sketches first! She seems happy, though... :-)

Fireplace

With this latest round of frigid temperatures, sitting in a cozy little beaver den with a warm fireplace sounds lovely! Stay warm everyone! :-)

OT I'll be away for a bit.

My life has gone into upheaval mode.

Sasha's Ice Balls

Sasha always came armed and ready to the annual snow ball fight.

Sketch for "Snowballs"

Here's my sketch for "Snowballs." I was also thinking about building snowmen. :-)

"Snowballs"

After a longer  pause I'm finally back again and wishing you all a Happy and Creative New Year! This is my submission for 'snowballs'. It was so much fun doing this and the perfect topic for the wheather outside. Because it's a Winter Wonderland in Cologne and I can't remember, whether it ever snowed already so much.

Snowballs

I finally got one!
Snowmen are ..... just snowballs of various sizes!

Meet Lysan Ty

Sorry that it's taken this long to finish this project. I have been totally under the weather.
I had a few things go wrong and ended up with pneumonia, Pink eye and now a
Kidney infection. When it rains it pours. I'm on the mend and I wanted to
post Lysan Ty. This is my little Asian baby who will be getting a very special
Christmas gift from her American friend. I hope to have her all prettied up by weeks end.
Snow balls are a coming!!!! Have a great day everyone!

Class Picture

Wow, I've been really motivated today.... ha ha!
Here's my rough for Class Picture. I hope you can see it OK from the scan - my pencil marks were very light.

Snowballs

Here's my take on the prompt. There is something just so devilishly fun about throwing snowballs at unsuspecting neighbor boys! :-)

First day after Christmas Holidays

This is my very first sketch for"School Picture Time", ...

...and also my first post since I was invited last month.

Happy New Year everybody!!!
