This is a 5 x 7 Watercolor titled: "Winter day's work". I used this one for my Studio Holiday postcard.

Brrrr, poor guy. He needs to get home to a warm fire. Wonderful illustration! Lovely colors.

Thank you Michelle & Julia.
This cute kid was at a horse show I went to this Fall. I thought he'd look good in some snow.
Glad you like him!

Thank you Vanessa, translucentblue,Angelic Pursuits,& Monica.
Sorry, I'm not sure of everyone's first names that go with your google name.
Painting a child everyday sure has honed my skills and each painting seems to get better than the one before.
Thank you for all your wonderful comments.

Love the spotted pony chaps. It's the little details that make a big difference isn't it?

I was going to mention the chaps the first day I saw the painting but never got around to posting...The chaps drew me to it immediately. They made think of a pinto (not of the Ford variety). Nice work.

I liked his chaps too and that coat! I've done several images of this boy with that coat and his Buckskin horse. They can be found at http://www.paintingachildaday.com
