Girl with the red cloak

It´s a Wednesday, so it´s a great day to post my first watercolor painting here!
I have joined WaWe some time ago (few months ago actually), but never posted anything until now. Usually I paint pictures that have more brighter "happier" colors, this is slightly different from what I do normally.

BTW I wondered how you managed to make your areas of color so smooth looking. Do you use masking fluid or do you have another technique?
Thanks.

Thanks everyone :-) Sophie: Yes I use masking fluid. In this one I masked the plants so I was able to paint the sky before color dried.
