I was really excited to do this one. I was feeling quite autumnal, so I thought I'd put my snail in a Halloween setting. Unfortunately, I'm not happy with how it turned out: the colors are muddy, and the little bunnies are hard to see in all the muck. Very frustrating. Urgh. The picture in my mind's eye was much cuter.

The snail looks happy to me. I think it's rather nicely done. Stop being so hard on yourself. There's a whole lot more great and interesting illustration to come out of your creative hands. This is one of them. I think you've done great.
Oh, I really like the bunnies: the startled look on the ones riding the snail, the one in the ghost costume, what a cute idea for an illustration!
I also sometimes struggle with "the picture on my mind's eye" feeling, but I also agree with Vanessa: sometimes we're just too hard on ourselves and don't appreciate the work with do, even when it doesn't come out just like we imagine it. I think you've done great too.

Honestly, I love anything Halloween and I think this illustration has a lot of fun, spirited and imaginative traits that make it perfect for Halloween. Thanks for sharing.
