Where's the snail?

I thought I would be a bit playful with this one. The snail is quite impressed with what that little girl can do! Come to think of it, that's one large snail! :-)

I'm still trying to find my most comfortable way of drawing people. I like a very loose style, similar to what I did with this illustration, but it doesn't always work. I really just have to keep practicing, trying different styles I guess, until I find the "right" one for me.

Oh I totally agree with you Monica. I love the looseness of this illustration. It's free and flowing! This is sometimes so hard to do, but you did! I love your color choice and your line is nice and free!!!

i love it - particularly the tree! its body is really nice with this free watercolor flowing and all of the picture is made with your great original style.

This one is fun! That must be a Roman Snail if it's life size. :)
I'm having the same task at the moment of finding out how I want to draw children, I love your looseness in this one.

People can be a challenge, but I love how you approach it. This little girl is in a great pose and is having fun - her coloring is great and the ponytail a nice touch. I also love how the snail looks like he is wondering how she can even do that... truly, I think there is some "leg envy" going on.
Thanks for sharing.

I love this, Monica, just as I love all your work. I think your loose lines are deceptive - there's a real confidence and great skill in producing something that seems so effortless. Beautiful stuff.

What fun! I love that the snail is observing the girl, that's totally off the wall. I think your loose style is the real deal. Keep up the good work.

I like it a lot. The way you did it makes it feel like there's a lot more in there. It is a very satisfying picture to look at.
