snow-white part two
knock-knock! i hope there's somebody in... i'm a little bit alone now. here's the second part of my work for snow-white: storyboard of 5 double pages, some character sheet for dwarfs and the first ready double pages (pages 36-37) of the book.

You've done great! I really like the way you've mixed up perspectives, I like the shading, and your style is unmistakeable. Your artwork carries with it the mysterious feeling that every fairy tale has.
By the way, I plan to contribute as well (these last assignments have been helping me grow). We've just been sick around here . . .
This is coming together just wonderfully! I love the sketches and how you have really worked on the characters to bring them to life. The story board is just awesome. You've breathed new life into an old favorite. Great work.

I wonder if perhaps you might want to mix up your compositions just a little bit. These five spreads are beautiful, but paced very similarly.
Maybe, to vary it up, you could pull back on the first queen image so the reader has a sense of her luxurious palace boudoir (which would suggest the deep contrast to Snow White's humble lifestyle). It's just a suggestion but I thought I'd throw it out there! Hope you don't mind.
The only other thing I think is to maybe not have Snow White smiling if she is lying dead on the floor! She sort of looks like she's laying back enjoying life.

thank you Leezy, i plan that i'm going to change my compositions, using different perspectives. maybe you're right about 'smiling dead girl' - i didn't dare to draw snow white too "deathly" because i was affraid of this will be so creepy for children. and she will return! :) but i'm going to try your ideas, thank you!

Krisztina: These are wonderful! I love your elegant and flowing line--it moves throughout the images, kinda like a long, lovely curl but much more beautiful. Your Snow White is great--she is not the traditional beauty which, to me, is so much better. She seems real & sincere...great job. Looks like you're having fun with it. I apologize for being "out of it" lately--my job & life have stepped in the way, but I have some time off coming up soon & hope to catch up & get back into WW!
Wow Krisztina! The shapes of the faces are incredible, I love the style and roundness of them. This is going to be brilliant :)
