Some Snow White sketches

Hey all,

Trying to find the time to make more posts, but right now - I'll take what I can, even if it's just a few minutes to show some of what I have been mustering for the Snow White prompt.

Here's a sampling of:
Queenie, Witchie and Dwarfie with his doggie ... I haven't come up with a suitable character for the fair maiden herself... but as you can see, I am trying to add my spin on this. Do you think the man in the mirror is too scary-looking for young readers? Too sinister perhaps, or does that make him good for the piece?

All comments are most welcome! I've still to add some background matter - just trying to nail down characters at this point.

i'm still loving your original characters! :)

your swarf is great - and the composition is fine too in the third picture. i think the man on the mirror isn't too creepy but he has a little bit different style from the others.

thank you for sharing!

You are such a scream!! It's has really great bones. I really like your style. Can't wait to see what you plan to do with all this. Great work.

I love the way you've brought your style into the illustration. I think the mirror man isn't too creepy but the style seems a bit stiff compared to your other line work. My only comment is the old queen looks a bit young to be an "Old peasant woman". There is so much humor in the drawings, I can't wait to see the final pages.

You've spun your mark all over these pages. Good work! I agree that the man in the mirror doesn't look too creepy.

thanks for all your comments folks!

Glad my style is shwoing through, I guess I always worry, my sketches don't represent 'me' sometimes, but these feel good so it was nice to have affirmations from everyone.

Krisztine/Lyon: I think you are right that the face n the mirror has an off-style. I will revisit him and see what i can come up with. It's probably the shading more than anything and that everything else is lineart. Good points, though so thanks!

Interesting, too about witchie's age .. she does look younger, hmmm, might add a few more features to age her up a bit perhaps.

Thanks all!
