Emma and her pet

Emma has a slightly unusual magic pet ... one her mother doesn't believe in.  This is a picture I've just done for my first attempted picture book (no publisher yet alas, but I'm entering the first few pages in a competition this month).  Man, it is so much harder than I ever thought to create a book, but it's fun too, especially as I have learnt how to ERASE MISTAKES AND ADD BACKGROUNDS IN PHOTOSHOP!

YIPPPPPPPPPY!!!! Oh Girly this is super duper wonderful. Let me tell you how beautiful this is. I love the two characters and the colors are fabulous. I am so proud that you are stepping out and putting your hand to do a picture book. I believe that you have to step out first and do something that you love and when you are happy with it you can then share it with the world. Enjoy the process of learning how to illustrate a children's book. Feel all the feelings both happy, sad, frustrated, confused and all. This is what you go through while doing a children's book. I always say," It's the hardest work I ever loved." You can do it. There may not be a publisher right now, but there will be one. That publisher may be a big time corp or it may be YOU. I believe that when we discover ourselves then the world will discover us too. Have fun and enjoy your project. I am SOOOOO Proud of you! YOU GO GIRL!!!
