Thumbelina

Such a sweet story.... here is my entry, would have liked to spend a bit more time on it. Overall, I am pleased with the bird most.

Very nice image Lisa--I like the movement of the cloth being placed over the bird. The bird is very well done.

Very sweet illustration! Very moving the desire to cover him up and keep him warm some how. This is a beautiful piece. It's so great to see a different approach to illustrating this story. Great job!

This is darling. I think you did a great job with the bird — and I like your use of color. if you work on it any more, please post it so we can all see how you developed it further. Great stuff!

Yes, there's something really moving and sad about how you have Thumbelina covering the bird, such tenderness in her actions. It's a lovely piece, with soft, controlled washes. I like how everyone can think of a scene and depict and so many different and wonderful ways...

I like your use of color, and I really like how the grass adds the extra dimension to show how small she is.
