When you live inland, like I do, sometimes you have to get inventive when you want to go to the beach.
I think if I was coloring this again I would make the cup a warm color. Sometimes I have a hard time with my palette. Oh well, you learn by doing, right?

I've been meaning to comment on this one for a while now. It is so much fun, Michowl! Your mice are certainly having such a fun time, and I know my 5-year-old son would get a huge kick out of their antics. And, while I agree that warmer tones might work to create a summer-ish atmosphere, I still think you've hit it on quite well. Good work!
Great beach idea! I love it. (It's like swimming at the beach in TX--very warm.)
