Back In the Day

I remember being on my hands and knees for hours
playing Jacks with my Sister Coy and trying to fix
the broke strings to paddle ball games. We stayed
outside a lot playing jump rope and endless hours
of Hide and Go Seek. Being a couch potato wasn't an
option he he he he!! Happy drawing everyone!

I was telling my son the other day about being outside all day and up until bed time everyday. There was no staying in doors and playing video games, there weren't any and watching tv was reserved for early Saturday mornings. Makes me feel old to say it but things have changed soooooo much haven't they? I love this Vanessa, thanks for the memory rush of Jacks on the playground at school, paddle ball and pick up sticks!

Great illo V. I'd know your style anywhere. Is this watercolor?

I was very bookish as a child, but even did that out of doors. Nothing like a good book in the limbs of a tree. :D

Great illustration Vanessa! I love the colors and composition, and the background is really, really cool.

I had forgotten about those things and how wonderful to be reminded. Lovely work.
