...and back to the early morning struggles.

Off to school

Hi everyone, this is my first contribution to WaWe, I'm really excited to have been invited and I look forward to seeing all your great work!

Two friends walking to school, I aggonised a bit before posting this, while the subject matter is appropriate and I did start with watercolours/inks but I also used a digital 'cut-out' technique to cut out all the shapes ( it's a little like cutting out paper shapes and sticking them down to form a picture).

- And as a footnote: down here in South Africa, kid's wear school uniforms.

The New Girl

I wanted to tell you how thankful I am for the out reached hand I've had into your charming circle. Being the new girl feels a lot better here than it does on most early September days. I'm so excited for this extra push to pull out the paints. This seemed like the perfect inaugural post. I am humbled to be in your ranks.

First Day of School

Just eeked this one in ...

The students of Vapid Elementary School needed to be strong, both mentally and physically, in order not to simply fade away into nothingness.

(I must admit, I created this one with double duty in mind - WaWe's First Day of School and IF's Strong.)

Back to School

I can't believe it's almost that time already. Sheesh. Where did the summer go? (Did we even have a summer?) I've got to think about buying school clothes ...
