Since this week's theme is "a dark and stormy night" I thought I'd place Little Red Riding Hood in a dark and stormy woods. I think I've got the dark part down, but I found the stormy part a little hard to do. Any suggestions for how to achieve the look of "stormy"?
I also wanted to make Red a little hispanic girl. I'm not sure it really looks like that.... Thoughts?

I love this! The wolf looks like the big oaf that he is...not sure what you could do to make her Hispanic. Skin tone and hair color may be enough.

A great idea to use Red Riding Hood as your inspiration! The wolf looks the part, large and with those big teeth, and that big paw sticking out.
As far as making your character look Hispanic, I would probably do the same, using skin color and hair like you did. I also was wondering about the stormy part, so I used a mixture of linework and white goauche to make it look like rain... I think I could have made the sky a bit darker, though to make it look even stormier...
Great illo! I agree with Monica about creating the stormy look — some dramatic diagonal strokes could add a rainy look... that'd be cool.
