Heart Flight

HeartsFlyg
Heart Flight, small format art (11-1/2" x 8-1/2"), watercolor on handmade paper. This image is part of my ongoing series of heart drawings, exploring the heart shape as an artistic symbol.
The heart has wonderlust and wanderlust
it is simple in its needs
yet bold in what it captures and surrenders

Plein Air abstract, watercolor painting, Cheniere Lake painting by Linda T Snider Ward, Louisiana artist

Cheniere Lake, Abstract Plein Air. This is an abstract plein air painting, which was a lot of fun to paint. It's watercolor on paper. After painting plein air several days with a friend of mine, I was curious to see "what if" I only painted the shapes that I saw and didn't try to create a realistic image. The result is rather interesting.

"Eggs and Shapes"

Eggs and Shapes is a small (8" x 8") watercolor painting, from my imagination and part of my "Daily Something" series. This is one of those pieces that one is never sure if it's finished or not.

"Look to the Sea"

Look to the Sea is a small (8" x 8") imaginary view of the seaside. The seagull is from several reference pictures that I took while doing plein air in Cambria last year. The gulls seemed to pose for me. This little painting is part of my "Daily Something" series.

White Hearts

White Hearts is part of my Daily Something series, meaning to do "something artful" daily. These little drawings help me think while I'm working on larger pieces, usually watercolor.
