Hi Watercolor Wednesday members!

Sorry, but I've really been away from the site most of the summer either physically or mentally! Now it's time to return to school, so things are picking up speed in that area & I'm busy getting ready to teach Talented Art once again. I know many of you are moms (I'm a mom too but mine is in law school)! Many of you are getting your children ready for school, so how about an "anything goes" in August? Post anything you like--share what you're doing and what you're trying/hoping to do. Share any sales or publications or rewards. Share any sketches, doodles, or drawings. In September, we'll get back to normal. Hope this works for everyone--sorry that I've been "out of it" these past months...I just need to reorganize and get back to a regular routine of creating and producing! Have a happy August!

I would like to participate again if you have room. The boys are 4 months old tommorow so I have a bit more time these days.

What a great idea!! I love it. I certainly know how it is cause I'm a mom too and working from home isn't at all as easy as it sounds when your house it filled children over the summer. I'm in the middle of working on illustrations for 3 books, but the constant, "Mommy we are hungry, Mommy can we play another video game, Mommy we don't want to read a book, and the, "MOM we are Hungry again!" is just a little over the top sometimes LOL! I look forward to sharing some of my quick illustrations. You know , the ones you get to do before they get up or while you are having personal time in the bathroom! I knew that would make smile and giggle. hee he hee hee! Enjoy these last few weeks cause it all be over much too soon.
Take care everyone

Teehee. You always make me laugh V. Toilet art, too funny.

My kid goes back to school in two weeks. Disturbed me this morning because her computer laptop died completely with ALL her writing on it. I think she was in the middle of 8 novels. O_o

She just got her permit last month, so I can tell you they grow up fast. My baby doesn't need me any more. Wha....

Great idea Linda. Sadly most of what I have been working on lately can't be shared until after it's in print. I am going to be working up a collection of designs for sterling jewelery this week. So no watercolor there either.

Maybe I can get back to the color next week. I have a CD cover to design and get approved by September. Should be fun.

Hi all!

I'm back from my vacation which was fantastic. Yesterday, we picked our dog up from the boarder, when the driver of the Volvo from the other lane of a two lane highway tried to make an ill conceived pass, lost complete control of their car and crashed into us going in the opposite direction. Thankfully, we are OK for the most part. My 7 year old, husband and I all have cervical strains, my right foot is broken in three places and will probably need surgery, but my 5 year old and dog came out bruised but OK.

So, the point is, I'll be lying around the house for a good 8-12 weeks recuperating, so I hope I'll have lots of time to draw, draw, draw!!!

Wow Michelle! What a bummer with the wreak but glad everyone is okay for the most part. Curl up, enjoy a good book, sketch out some ideas, use that time for soul searching! Hugs to you...

Hi Heather! Talented Art Program is a gifted art program in Louisiana--students are tested to be in it, so I get the cream of the crop. You can view last year's talent at www.rustonjrhightalentedart.blogspot.com
they're fantastic! Last year the students also responded to Illustration Friday & we have a blog just for that (you'll see the link on the other site). They take my energy, suck me dry, but also help to keep me to keep creating!
