Experiment ... To the Moon or Bust!

Tommy wants more than anything to be rid of his pesky sister, Lucy. His experiment? First, send her dolls to the moon, and then bye-bye Lucy!

I had a lot of fun with this one, but I've got a question, what do you guys use as the color for a vast expanse of grass. I've yet to hit upon a color that I'm really satisfied with.

he he he he!!! This is too funny!!! I love it. It's wonderfully whimsical. I love illustrations like this. It pushes the imagination and I love it! Very nice. Great Idea! Now I have to get busy over and post something cause it's been a while.

Adorable, Michelle, I love the doll's hair! :-)

I tend to use different shades of green and siena when doing grass, mixing light and dark tones to imply distance. When I mix greens, rather than just using yellow, I use ochre as well, especially with viridian.

great perspective! I agree with Monica on mixing "grass" colors. I try to avoid an even tone & avoid a screaming green. I usually tone the green down with other greens, ochre, or sometimes a touch of red.
