"Dancing"

When I was a child I wanted to do ballet, but because of my height I was recommended to better do athletic sports. *umpf
Maybe thats why the little girl looks a bit concerned if she's doing right.
@ all Have a great week! ;)

Adorable! And I think you should have visited another dance studio... or look into adult classes now, free that dancing girl. =)
Wonderful illustration.

I'm sorry you couldn't do ballet! I LOVED ballet growing up. You've illustrated this impish girl with such child-like feeling. I also really like the color of her dress.

She is just dancing her little heart out. I know that feeling I was told the very same thing. My parent made me take piano lesson instead. I think the little chickadee is doing her own thing and that is pure joy all by itself. May you can live through her. Idea here! What about a story about yourself as child. Show how you loved ballet and really wanted to be a dancer. Show pictures of your stuggle and everything and then being told that you couldn't and how you became an artist illustrating dancers. In other words you still got your chance to dance even if it was on paper through other characters. It might work? Anywho, loved the little adorable girly. Very nicely done.

I think anyone can be a ballerina if they want to - no rules or fancy shoes required :> Love her pose, great job.
