Umbrella

I just love umbrellas. The main character in my picture book spends a good deal of time with/in/under umbrellas. You might call it an unhealthy obsession...

He or she is quite adorable. I love the night sky above and all around him. He looks like he is on his way somewhere. There is something very special about this illustration. I like it very much, but I am also liking the air about it! I would love hear the story.

Looks like this will be a wonderful picture book! I really like the colors on this illustration, how they capture the night so well, so richly. And that little penguin, what a sweet character he is... I'd love to learn more him!

This reminds me of our camping trip ... in the rain... in a tent... and a night time walk to the bathroom. Has your penguin been to NH? Very fun illo!
