Where the Sweet Things Are

I have always loved this book from a child.
"In the Night Kitchen" is another one that I adore.
The movie kind of left me feeling sad. I liked the book better.
Heres to all things wild and sweet!
have a great week everyone!

Great interpretation of Sendak's book and characters, Vanessa!

I haven't seen the movie yet, though I have a feeling I will feel the same way as you and like the book better.

Have you all seen this blog? It shows different interpretations, by a variety of artists, of this great classic: http://www.terribleyelloweyes.com/

Very cool, your illo would fit right in, Vanessa!

Awesome tribute to a great book! I really loved the movie despite it being sad, such a moving story. I really like your take on the characters.

I love your homage V!! It is wonderful! I heard that the movie wasn't exactly warm and fuzzy. I always read the story in the warm and fuzzy way, whether Mr. Sendak meant for it to be read that way or not. I took the girls to see Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs instead. :)

(And I agree with Lyon, LOVE the cupcake!!)

I love your wild things Vanessa! Sorry the movie made you sad. I really liked it, even though there were sad bits. Hope you enjoyed it even thought it made you sad!
